Kenna Klass

Kenna Klass is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Learning, Teaching, and Diversity at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College. Kenna received her B.S. in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. After receiving her degree, Kenna gained experience working in the defense industry as Reliability engineer, Logistics engineer, and a Guidance, Navigation, and Control engineer for about four years. In addition to her experience as an engineer, Kenna has also worked as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Retention Specialist helping marginalized students transfer to four-year institutions. Kenna’s research interests include STEM Education and the Black women's experience in STEM.
